My research work is concentrated on nonlinear
dynamics and industrial mathematics. Focus is
on nonlinear partial differential equations,
solitons and reaction diffusion problems.
The applications encompass shock waves in fluids,
nonlinear optics, superconductivity, the blood
coagulation cascade and excitable insulin
producing beta cells.
Participation in BioSim (EU network of excellence),
the FTP project MECOBS (Mathematical network in
modelling, estimation and control of bio-
technological systems) and in the innovation
consortium FINST (Center for functional materials
with imbedded nano and micro structures) together
with 4 companies.
